atha kho āyasmā ānando pubbaṇhasamayaṃ |
Then *** Venerable Ānanda, in-the-morning, |
nivāsetvā patta-cīvaram-ādāya |
having-dressed, bowl-&-robe-taken, |
yena aññataro bhikkhun-upassayo tenupasaṅkami; |
then (a) certain nun's-quarter (he) approached. |
upasaṅkamitvā paññatte āsane nisīdi. |
having-approached, (on a) prepared seat (he) sat. |
atha kho sam-bahulā bhikkhuniyo |
Then *** some-number (of) nuns |
yen-āyasmā ānando tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; |
toward-venerable Ananda (they) approached; |
upasaṅkamitvā āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ |
having-approached Venerable Ananda |
abhivādetvā ekam-antaṃ nisīdiṃsu. |
(and) paid-homage, (to) one-side (they) sat. |

yena bhagavā ten-upasaṅkamiṃ; |
