SN 43.1: Home is where the Jhāna is.| Iti kho, bhikkhave, | So, monks, | 諸位比丘, |
| desitaṃ vo mayā a-saṅkhataṃ, | I’ve taught you the un-conditioned and | 我已教導你們無為法, |
| desito a-saṅkhata-gāmi-maggo. | I’ve taught you the path that leads to the un-conditioned. | 以及通往無為的道路。 |
| Yaṃ, bhikkhave, satthārā karaṇīyaṃ | Monks, what a teacher should do | 諸位比丘,出於慈悲, |
| sāvakānaṃ hitesinā anukampakena anukampaṃ upādāya, | for the disciples, out of compassion, | 一位老師應為弟子所做的, |
| kataṃ vo taṃ mayā. | I have done that for you. | 我已為你們完成。 |
| Etāni, bhikkhave, rukkha-mūlāni, | Here, monks, are tree-roots. | 在此,諸位比丘,有樹木為根。 |
| etāni suññ'-āgārāni. | Here are these empty huts. | 在此,有空寂的茅舍。 |
| Jhāyatha, bhikkhave, | Practice jhāna, monks! | 修習禪定,諸位比丘! |
| mā pamādattha; | [Be assiduous!] Don’t be negligent. | [當勤精進!] 莫要放逸。 |
| mā pacchā vippaṭisārino ahuvattha. | Don’t later regret it. | 莫待日後追悔。 |
| Ayaṃ vo amhākaṃ anu-sāsanīti. | This is our instruction to you.” | 此乃我對你們的教誡。 |
