For a while, the Buddha traveled to the city of Wangshe, in the bamboo forest of Jialan Duoyuan, with the great bhikkhus, and there were two hundred and fifty people sitting in the summer. |
爾時,世尊過夜平旦,著衣持鉢,入王舍 城而行乞食。 |
At that time, the Blessed One spent the night in peace, dressed in clothes and bowls, went to the royal residence and begged for food. |
行乞食已,收舉衣鉢,澡洗 手足,以尼師檀著於肩上,往至孔雀 林異學園中。 |
After begging for food, he raised his clothes and bowls, took a bath and washed his hands and feet, with Nishitan on his shoulders, and went to the Peacock Linyi Academy. |
爾時,孔雀林異學園中有一異 學,名曰箭毛,名德宗主,眾人所師,有 大名譽,眾所敬重,領大徒眾,五百異學之 所尊也。 |
At that time, there was a different school in the Peacock Forest Different School. The name was Jian Mao, and the name was Sovereign of De. They were taught by everyone, had great reputation, respected by all, led the great disciples, and respected by five hundred different schools. |
彼在大眾喧閙嬈亂,放高大音聲, 說種種畜生之論,謂論王、論賊、論鬪、論食、 論衣服、論婦人、論童女、論婬女、論世間、 論空野、論海中、論國人民。 |
He was in the masses and made loud noises, talking about all kinds of beasts, talking about kings, thieves, talking about wives, talking about food, about clothes, about women, about virgins, about prostitutes, about the world, and about space Wild, on the sea, on the people of the country. |
彼共集坐論 如是比畜生之論。 |
He gathers together to sit on the theory like this is more than animal theory. |
異學箭毛遙見佛來,勅 己眾曰: |
Seeing the Buddha from a distance, the emperor said: |
「汝等默然住,彼沙門瞿曇來。 |
"You wait and stay silent, Pi Shamen Qutan will come. |
彼眾 默然,常樂默然,稱說默然。 |
Everyone is silent, Changle is silent, and said silently. |
彼若見此眾默 然者,或來相見。」 |

異學箭毛令眾默然已,自 默然住。 |

世尊往詣異學箭毛所,異學箭毛即 從坐起,偏袒著衣,叉手向佛,白曰: |

「善來, 沙門瞿曇!沙門瞿曇久不來此,願坐此 坐。」 |

世尊便坐異學箭毛所敷之座,異學箭 毛則與世尊共相問訊,却坐一面。 |
The Blessed One sat on the seat where the feathers of the arrow of the different learning were laid, and the feathers of the Arrow of the different learning sat on the same side for questioning. |

「優陀夷!向論何等? |
"Udaya! How much is Xianglun? |
以何事故 共集坐此?」 |
Why are you here for an accident? " |
異學箭毛答曰: |
The alien arrow hair replied: |
「瞿曇!且置此論, 此論非妙,沙門瞿曇欲聞此論,後聞不難。」 |
Qu Tan! Let's put it aside, this theory is not wonderful, and Shamen Qu Tan wants to hear about it, but it is not difficult to hear it later. |
世尊如是再三問曰: |
The Blessed One asked again and again: |
「優陀夷!向論何等? |
"Udaya! How much is Xianglun? |
以 何事故共集坐此?」 |
Why are accidents gathered here? " |
異學箭毛亦再三答曰: |
Alien Arrow Hair also replied again and again: |
「瞿曇!且置此論,此論非妙,沙門瞿曇欲 聞此論,後聞不難,沙門瞿曇若至再三,其 欲聞者,今當說之。 |
"Qu Tan! Let's put it aside, this theory is not wonderful. Shamen Qutan wants to hear this theory, but it is not difficult to hear it later. If Shamen Qutan repeats it, those who want to hear it should talk about it now. |
瞿曇!我等與拘薩羅國 眾多梵志,悉共集坐拘薩羅學堂,說如是 論。 |
Qu Tan! I waited together with many Sanskrit records of Kusala Kingdom, all gathered together to sit in the Kusala Academy, and said the same. |
鴦伽摩竭陀國人有大善利,鴦伽摩竭 陀國人得大善利,如此大福田眾在王舍 城共受夏坐,謂不蘭迦葉。 |
The people of Angyamanda have great good and benefits, and the people of Angyamanda have great benefits. Such great blessings are shared in the city of Wangshe, which is called Brahma Kassapa. |
所以者何? |

瞿曇!不蘭迦葉名德宗主,眾人所師,有大 名譽,眾所敬重,領大徒眾,五百異學之所 尊也。 |
Qu Tan! The name of the Sovereign of Brahma Kaya is the master of virtue, taught by everyone, has a great reputation, is respected by everyone, leads a large disciple, and is respected by five hundred different schools. |
於此王舍城共受夏坐,如是摩 息迦利瞿舍利子、娑若鞞羅遲子、尼揵 親子、彼復迦栴、阿夷哆雞舍劍婆利。 |
In this kingshe city, there are summer sittings, such as Mosikaliqu Shelizi, Suorotan Luochizi, Nichao Parent-child, Bifujiazhu, Ayiduojishe Jianpoli. |
「瞿 曇!阿夷哆雞舍劍婆利名德宗主,眾人 所師,有大名譽,眾所敬重,領大徒眾,五百 異學之所尊也,於此王舍城共受夏坐。 |

向者亦論沙門瞿曇!此沙門瞿曇名德宗主, 眾人所師,有大名譽,眾所敬重,領大比丘 眾,千二百五十人之所尊也,亦在此王舍 城共受夏坐。 |

非為弟子法罵所罵,亦無弟子難師, 此一向不可、不相應,不等說已,便捨而去。』 |

瞿 曇!我等復作是念: |

瞿曇!昔時阿夷哆雞 舍劍婆利數在弟子眾舉手大喚: |

『汝等 可住,無有人來問汝等事,人問我事,汝 等不能斷此事,我能斷此事。』 |

瞿曇!昔 時沙門瞿曇數在大眾,無量百千眾圍遶說 法,於其中有一人鼾眠作聲,又有一 人語彼人曰: |

『莫鼾眠作聲!汝不欲聞世 尊說微妙法,如甘露耶?』 |

彼人即便默然無 聲。 |

瞿曇!我等復作是念: |

「優陀夷!汝見我有幾法,令諸弟 子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,常隨不離耶?」 |
Udayi! How many ways do you see that I have to make all the disciples respect, respect, support, and serve me, and always follow me? |
異學 箭毛答曰: |

「瞿曇!我見瞿曇有五法,令諸弟 子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事,常隨不離。 |
"Qu Tan! I see that Qu Tan has five methods to make all his disciples respect, respect, support, and serve, and always follow them. |
云何為 五? |
What is cloud five? |
沙門瞿曇麤衣知足,稱說麤衣知足,若沙 門瞿曇麤衣知足,稱說麤衣知足者,是謂我 見沙門瞿曇有第一法,令諸弟子恭敬、尊 重、供養、奉事,常隨不離。 |
Shamen Qutan is content with coarse clothes, and says that he is content with coarse clothes. If Shamen Qutan is content with coarse clothes, and if he is content with coarse clothes, it means that I see that Shamen Qutan has the first law to make all his disciples respect, respect, provide for, and serve. 復次,沙門瞿曇麤食 知足,稱說麤食知足,若沙門瞿曇麤食知足, 稱說麤食知足者,是謂我見沙門瞿曇有 第二法,令諸弟子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事,常隨 不離。 |
Repeatedly, Shamen Qutan is contented with coarse food, and said that it is contented with coarse food. 「復次,沙門瞿曇少食,稱說少食,若沙 門瞿曇少食,稱說少食者,是謂我見沙門 瞿曇有第三法,令諸弟子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉 事,常隨不離。 |
"Frequently, Shamen Qutan eats less, saying that it eats less. If Shamen Qutan eats less, saying that it is a person who eats less, it means that I see that Shamen Qutan has a third law, so that all his disciples are respectful, respectful, support, and serve, and often follow. |
復次,沙門瞿曇麤住止床座知 足,稱說麤住止床座知足,若沙門瞿曇麤住 止床座知足,稱說麤住止床座知足者,是謂 我見沙門瞿曇有第四法,令諸弟子恭敬、 尊重、供養、奉事,常隨不離。 |

復次,沙門瞿曇 燕坐,稱說燕坐,若沙門瞿曇燕坐,稱 說燕坐者,是謂我見沙門瞿曇有第五法, 令諸弟子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事,常隨不離。 |

優陀夷!我所持 衣,隨聖力割截,染汙惡色,如是聖衣染汙 惡色。 |
Yudai! The clothes I hold are cut off with the Holy Power, and stained with evil colors, just as the Holy Clothes stained with evil colors. |
優陀夷!或我弟子謂盡形壽衣所棄 捨糞掃之衣,亦作是說: |
Yudai! Or my disciple said that the shroud discarded the dung-sweeping clothes, also said: |
『我世尊麤衣知足,稱 說麤衣知足。』 |
"My Lord is content with coarse clothes, saying that coarse clothes are content. 』 |
優陀夷!若我弟子因麤衣知足 故,稱說我者,彼因此處故,不恭敬、尊重、 供養、奉事我,亦不相隨。 |
Yudai! If my disciple is content with coarse clothes, he who calls me will be punished for it, and he will not respect, respect, provide for, or serve me, nor will he follow him. |
復次,優陀夷!我食 粳糧成熟,無 [麩-夫+黃] 無量雜味。 |
Repeat, Yudayi! I eat mature japonica rice, without [bran-fu+yellow] and unlimited miscellaneous flavors. |
優陀夷!或我弟子 盡其形壽而行乞食所棄捨食,亦作是 說: |
Yudai! Or my disciple, begging and discarding food for the best of his life, also said: |
『我世尊麤食知足,稱說麤食知足。』 |
"My Lord is content with coarse food, I call it content with coarse food. 』 |
優陀夷! 若我弟子因麤食知足故,稱說我者,彼因 此處故,不恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,亦不相 隨。 |
Yudai! If my disciple calls me because he is content with crude food, he is not respectful, respectful, support, and serve me, nor will he follow me. |
「復次,優陀夷!我食如一鞞羅食,或如半 鞞羅,優陀夷!或我弟子食如一拘拖,或如 半拘拖,亦作是說: |
"Further times, Yudaya! I eat like a danras, or as a half-dara, Yudaya! Or my disciple eats like a stubborn, or as a half-restrained, and I say: |
『我世尊少食,稱說少食。』 |
"My Lord eats less, says I eat less. 』 |
優陀夷!若我弟子因少食故,稱說我者, 彼因此處故,不恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,亦 不相隨。 |
Yudai! If my disciple calls me because of lack of food, he will be punished because of this, and he will be disrespectful, respectful, support, and serve me, nor will he follow him. |
復次,優陀夷!我或住高樓,或住棚 閣。 |
Repeat, Yudayi! I live in tall buildings or in tents. |
優陀夷!或我弟子彼過九月、十月,一夜 於覆處宿,亦作是說: |
Yudai! Or my disciple spent September and October and stayed overnight in Fuju, also saying: |
『我世尊麤住止床座 知足,稱說麁住止床座知足。』 |
『My Lord is contented by staying on the bed seat, saying that I’m content with staying on the bed seat. 』 |
優陀夷!若我 弟子因麤住止床座知足故,稱說我者,彼 因此處故,不恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,亦不 相隨。 |
Yudai! If my disciple is contented because of the roughness of the bedside, he who speaks of me will be punished for it, and he will be disrespectful, respectful, support, and serve me, nor will he follow. |
「復次,優陀夷!我常作閙比丘、比丘尼、 優婆塞、優婆夷,或我弟子過半月一入眾, 為法清淨故,亦作是說: |
"Further times, Udaya! I often work as Bhikkhus, Bhikkhuni, Upasai, Upayi, or my disciple enters the crowd after half a month. For the sake of purification of the Dhamma, I also say: |
『我世尊燕坐,稱說 燕坐。』 |
"My Lord Yan sits, and I call Yan sit. 』 |
優陀夷!若我弟子因燕坐故,稱 說我者,彼因此處故,不恭敬、尊重、供養、奉 事我,亦不相隨。 |
Yudai! If my disciple calls me because he is sitting there, he will be punished for it, and he will not respect, respect, support, or serve me, nor will he follow him. |
優陀夷!我無此五法,令諸 弟子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,常隨不離。 |
Yudai! I do not have these five methods to make all the disciples respect, respect, support, and serve me, and always follow me. |
「優 陀夷!我更有五法,令諸弟子恭敬、尊重、供 養、奉事我,常隨不離。 |
"Udayi! I have more five methods to make all the disciples respect, respect, support, and serve me, and always follow me. |
云何為五? |
What is cloud five? |
優陀夷!我 有弟子,謂無上戒稱說我: |
Yudai! I have a disciple, so the supreme precept says me: |
『世尊行戒大戒, 如所說所作亦然,如所作所說亦然。』 |
『Blessed One to do the precepts, the same is true of what is said and what is said. 』 |
優 陀夷!若我弟子因無上戒稱說我者,彼因 此處,恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,常隨不離。 |
Utoi! If my disciples call me because of the supreme precepts, they will respect me, respect, support, and serve me, and always follow me. |
復 次,優陀夷!我有弟子,謂無上智慧稱說我: |
Again, Yudayi! I have disciples, so the supreme wisdom calls me: |
『世尊行智慧,極大智慧。 |
『The Blessed One acts wisdom, great wisdom. |
若有談論來相對者, 必能伏之,謂於正法、律不可說,於自所 說不可得說。』 |
If there is someone who talks about the opposite, they will be able to surrender. 』 |
優陀夷!若我弟子因無上智 慧故,稱說我者,彼因此處,恭敬、尊重、供養、 奉事我,常隨不離。 |
Yudai! If my disciples call me because of their supreme wisdom, they will act accordingly, respect, respect, support, and serve me, and they will always follow me. |
「復次,優陀夷!我有弟子, 謂無上知見稱說我: |
"Fuji, Udaya! I have a disciple, so the supreme knowledge is well known and said: |
『世尊遊知非不知,遊 見非不見,彼為弟子說法,有因非無因,有 緣非無緣,可答非不可答,有離非無離。』 |
"The Blessed One knows but does not know, you see but not see, he speaks for the disciple, there is a reason but not no reason, there is a destiny but not no destiny, an answer is not unanswerable, and there is no separation. 』 |
優 陀夷!若我弟子因無上知見故,稱說我者, 彼因此處,恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,常隨不 離。 |
You Dayi! If my disciples call me because of the supreme knowledge, they will act accordingly, respect, respect, provide for, and serve me, and they will always follow me. |
復次,優陀夷!我有弟子,謂厭愛箭 而來問我: |

『苦是苦,習是習,滅是滅,道是道。』 |
"Suffering is suffering, habit is habit, extinguishing is extinguishing, Tao is Tao. 』 |
我即答彼: |

『苦是苦,習是習,滅是滅,道是道。』 |
"Suffering is suffering, habit is habit, extinguishing is extinguishing, Tao is Tao. 』 |
優陀夷!若我弟子而來問我,我答可意令 歡喜者,彼因此處,恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事 我,常隨不離。 |
Yudai! If my disciples come to me and ask me, my answer is pleasant to those who are pleased. They will do so, respect, respect, support, and serve me, and always follow me. |
「復次,優陀夷!我為弟子,或說 宿命智通作證明達,或說漏盡智通作證明 達。 |
"Fun times, Udayi! I am a disciple, or Fate Zhitong as proof of Dao, or Omissions Zhitong as proof of Dao. |
優陀夷!若我弟子於此正法、律中得受 得度,得至彼岸,無疑無惑,於善法中無 有猶豫者,彼因此處,恭敬、尊重、供養、奉 事我,常隨不離。 |
Yudai! If my disciples are saved in this righteous law and law, and reach the other side, there is no doubt that there is no doubt, and there is no hesitation in the good law, so they will respect, respect, support, and serve me, and always follow me. |
優陀夷!是謂我更有五法, 令諸弟子恭敬、尊重、供養、奉事我,常隨不 離。」 |

於是,異學箭毛即從坐起,偏袒著衣,叉 手向佛,白曰: |

「瞿曇!甚奇!甚特!善說妙事,潤 澤我體,猶如甘露。 |
"Qu Tan! Very strange! What! Say good things, moisturize my body, like nectar. |
瞿曇!猶如大雨,此地高 下,普得潤澤。 |
Qu Tan! It is like heavy rain, and the place is high and moist. |
如是,沙門瞿曇為我等善說 妙事,潤澤我體,猶如甘露。 |
If so, Shamen Qutan waited for me to say wonderful things, moisturizing my body, like nectar. |
世尊!我已解。 |
Lord! I have resolved. |
善 逝!我已知。 |
Good death! I know. |
