With Each & Every Breath

This is the best book available for a comprehensive guide on the topic of breath meditation, an authentic interpetation of the EBT (early buddhist texts).
๐Ÿ”—With Each And Every Breath: A Guide To Meditation by Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Geoffrey DeGraff)
๐Ÿ”—Gather 'round: companion book to "With Each And Every Breath", containing transcribed Dharma talks on breath meditation.

Keeping the Breath in Mind

๐Ÿ”—Keeping the Breath in Mind by Ajahn Lee (Dhammadharo).
A fundamental guidebook for breath meditation and practicing the jhฤnas.

Neither of those two books are just for beginners. I consider them required reading for all skill levels, even advanced meditators should reread those two classics from time to time to tease out more subtleties and nuances missed before. Personally I consider "Keeping the Breath in Mind" the greatest book on breath meditation ever written. It's short, to the point, and the style of writing shows the relaxed, lucid and profound depth of knowledge and experience of Ajahn Lee. But most people will get more benefit from B. Thanissaro's thick book, it's much more comprehensive of the issues plaguing most people, and contains many strategies to help modern westerners with their many neurotic tendencies.
