Whichever set of clothes he might want to wear during the late afternoon, he would wear that set of clothes during the late afternoon. |

That statement will sound amazing to you until you start to carefully look at EBT passages and their parallels with a discerning eye. JhÄna and satipaį¹į¹hÄna are not exactly equivalent, but their roles overlap so much, and they interpenetrate each other to the point where itās hard to really say where one begins and the other ends. Itās only because of the influence of later Theravada tradition that the common mis-understanding is that JhÄna and 4sp (satipaį¹į¹hÄna, aka sammÄ sati) have completely different duties. | |
